Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: How did you get started in wood turning and quilting?
    • A: This one is easy, they are both the same. I saw a program on tv and thought that looks interesting I think I might try it.

  • Q: Where do you get your materials?
    • A: For both items, I get some of the items from eBay. Actually for my woodturning I get 95% of the items from eBay. For the quilting I get 50/50 from eBay and local fabric shops.

  • Q: Where do you get your ideas/plans for your projects?
    • A: I get inspiration from thing I see in books and on the web, but I don't usually follow a plan. I work the ideas out in my head and try my best to work them out.

  • Q: How do you come up with your prices?
    • A: I am a relatively new artist so my prices reflect my inexperience. I am not ceating for profit I am creating for the joy of learing my craft. I very rarely make any money off of my works, most being sold for the cost to make them. In the future when I am more established in my art it may become a profitable endeavour but until then enjoy the works as I am doing.

  • Q: What made you create a web page?
    • A: I have always been interested in computers and programming. I enjoy working/creating on my site as much as I do working on my other projets.

  • Q: How did you learn the wood turning, quilting, and web design?
    • A: For the most part I am self taught. Have read books and seen video's on Wood Turning and Quilting, and I was taught in the military and had some classes in college on computer programming.
